This blended learning module combines online training and in-person sessions. Participants start with a online CPR/AED & First Aid module, receiving a completion certificate. Then, a CPR/AED & First Aid hands-on session with an Instructor completes the course. This dynamic approach ensures flexibility and practical skill application for a comprehensive learning experience. After completion of both modules, the participant receives a two-year certification from American Heart Association and/or Red Cross.

Commit to showing up, investing time in learning, and asking questions—this class guarantees to empower you with the skills and confidence crucial for babysitting.
The Basic Life Support (BLS) Course is the foundation for recognizing cardiac arrest and the sequence of performing lifesaving skills by performing chest compressions, ventilation, and use of AED. The American Heart Association BLS Provider CPR/AED course is designed for healthcare professionals and first responders. BLS initial classes are scheduled for 4.0 hours
HeartCode BLS is the AHA’s blended learning delivery method for the BLS Course. HeartCode blended learning gives more control to complete the course at your own pace. You will first complete the online portion of HeartCode BLS and then complete a hands-on skills session with an AHA BLS Instructor in order to obtain a course completion card. HearCode BLS hands on classes are scheduled for approximately 1.5 hours according to class size.
This Advanced course highlights high-performance CPR, team dynamics, communication, systems of care, recognition, and intervention of cardiopulmonary arrest, immediate post-cardiac arrest, acute dysrhythmia, stroke, and acute coronary syndromes (ACS). This course also covers bradycardia and tachycardia emergency situations. Individuals are encouraged to have a working knowledge of EKG interpretation and cardiac medications. Each participant is required to also have a current BLS card and an ACLS provider’s manual in order to participate in the course. ACLS’ initial course is 16 hours and is completed in a hybrid format with the Heartcode ACLS, followed by an in-person hands-on portion and a skills check.

This blended learning module combines online training and in-person sessions. Participants start with an approximately 2-hour online module, receiving a completion certificate. This will be followed up by the student’s participation in a few observation classes, during which they will co-teach with an instructor for a formal evaluation process. With the instructor’s satisfaction of the student, students will receive a 2-year instructor certificate giving them the credential to also instruct. Administrative work will also be covered during the hands-on session.
